VILLAGE leaders are going wild to create an asset for their community that combines conservation and cost-cutting.
Areas of recreation grounds in both Kingsley and Kingsley Holt are being turned into wildflower meadows.
And parish councillors who came up with the idea believe the project will deliver significant benefits.
Martyn Hordern said: “Both of the recreation grounds are quite large and all of the grass on both of them has always been cut very short in the past.
“We wanted to deliver something for the community that was a bit different – something that would encourage wildlife and would be there for years to come.
