A mysterious knitter is continuing to spread a bit of joy around a Moorlands village.
A number of knitted characters have been appearing around the village of Werrington since the start of the pandemic, a lovely sign of kind-hearted community spirit in such surreal times.
Many thanks to Werrington resident Steven Brown for this image of the latest creation by the mysterious knitter, who he has dubbed as the ‘Werrington Knitting Bomber.’
Steven said: “This has appeared on the post box on the corner of Washer wall Lane.
“There has also been a snowmen and Santa on it at Christmas time.
“Plus there have been some other small examples dotted around Wetley Moor Common during the previous Covid lockdowns too.
“The Werrington Knitting Bomber strikes again. I think it’s ace – fair play to them.”
