The Leek & District Show is making a welcome return this year after a two year break due to the pandemic.
And this year the event is on the move. Instead of its regular venue of Birchall Playing Fields in Leek, it will be staged just outside Leek, on Dunwood Fields in Longsdon.
A spokesman for the show said: “The show is desperately short of people who are able to offer general assistance on the day to the organisers or people attending the event.
“We are therefore appealing for volunteers to come forward to assist with these duties so that we will ensure a smooth and slick operation.
“If you can help please contact 07748328601 or email secretary@leekshow.org.uk.”
Meanwhile, the team is continuously updating schedules for this year’s show on the event’s website.
The spokesman said: “As we progress with plans we will be adding more and more information regarding the Leek And District Show to our website.”
Schedules uploaded so far include for the following sections of the show: Poultry, Horticultural, Light Horse, Flowers, and Women’s Institute.
