THREE people have been charged with assault after a taxi driver was injured in Cheadle.
The trio – all from Stoke-on-Trent – were arrested in the early hours of Monday after an incident at around 3.45am in High Street, Cheadle.
Shelby Marsh, aged 22, of Ridgeway Road, was charged with racially or religiously aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and theft from a motor vehicle.
Rebecca Unwin, aged 23, of Vivian Road, and Joshua Lovatt, aged 20, of Sturgess Street, were both charged with racially or religiously aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and obstructing a police officer.
All three were granted unconditional bail to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court on 10 July.
Anyone who saw the incident or who may have any information about it, can call 101 quoting incident number 91 of June 11.
