Top accolade for Indian restaurant

AN ALREADY multiple award-winning restaurant near Blythe Bridge has bagged yet another prestigious award. The Blue Tiffin, which is situated in Uttoxeter Road in between Blythe Bridge and Meir, has been named as the Best Restaurant in Staffordshire at this year's annual Curry Life Awards.

The venue won the same award in 2016, and also won Best Chef last year.
The modern Indian and Bangladeshi eatery, which opened in 2007, is run by owner and chef Shaz Rahman.
He said of winning this latest award: “It is phenomenal and I would like to thank everyone who voted for us.”
Shaz, who employs 11 people at his restaurant, attended a glittering ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Sunday where it was announced that this business had won the top accolade for the county this year.
He said: “I had no idea that we were going to win. Only that we had been nominated.
“The awards ceremony was a good night and obviously our win made it perfect.”
As for his secret on running a multi award-winning restaurant, Shaz added: “It’s all down to hard work and determination.
“People often ask me why I am at the restaurant seven days a week, but sometimes, when you have your own business you have to put a lot in to it.
“You have to be at the top of the game all the time and the food has to be right.
“I am very passionate about the Blue Tiffin.”
