A TEENAGER has been stabbed in the street after an altercation outside a Cheadle chip shop.
Police say a gang of youths was causing a nuisance at Fantis’ Friendly Fryer in High Street when the assault happened on Monday.
A 33-year-old man, from Cheadle, was arrested and remained in custody on Tuesday evening.
The teenager had to be taken to hospital after being knifed in the armpit.
Officers were called to the chip shop at around 8.30pm following reports of anti-social behaviour and an assault.
