A 15 foot pothole in a Moorlands village has sparked a deluge of complaints from a resident who is fearful vibrations from passing traffic are damaging his home. Frank Rogers, aged 77, first reported the pothole in Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge to Staffordshire County Council in April last year, after noticing tremors affecting his home when heavy traffic passed by.

A pavement petition has been launched by Forsbrook Parish Council. More than 100 people have signed the online petition to Staffordshire County Council asking for an upgrade of pavements in Uttoxeter Road.

A consultation surrounding a proposed speed reduction in a Moorlands village has been extended. It is being proposed by Staffordshire County Council to reduce the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph on approaches to the proposed roundabout at the existing junction of Uttoxeter Road and Cresswell Road near Draycott-in-the-Moors.

RESIDENTS and community leaders have aired their concerns over traffic congestion through a Moorlands village due to nearby development works. The A521 in Blythe Bridge is currently partly shut as three phases of works on land adjacent to the road are being carried out as contractors complete development work on behalf of St Modwen Homes, who were previously granted planning permission to build up to 120 new homes on the site. Residents of Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook have been having their say on the matter.

A TEENAGER was left with minor injuries after being assaulted by a group of other teenagers at the weekend. Police officers were called to a report of an assault on Uttoxeter Road in Blythe Bridge on Sunday afternoon with members of the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) also in attendance. The teenager subjected to the attack was assessed and discharged at the scene into the care of a relative.
