A MAN in his 20s was taken to hospital on blue lights with potentially serious injuries after emergency services were called to reports of five men assaulting him. The West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said it was called to Tean Road, Cheadle on Monday, February 17 at 6.40pm. An ambulance attended the incident with a patient being assessed and treated for “multiple injuries” at the scene before being taken to hospital.

TOWNSFOLK have demanded a public apology on behalf of a school crossing patrol warden. An online petition has been launched after comments were made about the lollipop man in Tean Road, Cheadle at a meeting of the town's council. Now more than 220 people have signed to support calls for a public apology.

IMPATIENT motorists are putting children's lives at risk by driving around a lollipop man on a busy Cheadle road. Concerns over incidents involving the school crossing patrol in Tean Road were debated at a meeting of Cheadle Town Council on Monday. A letter from PCSO Mark Bridgwood raised “major concerns for the safety of the children and the school patrol.”
