A teacher from the Moorlands is set to embark on an expedition to the highest mountain in the Alps. Lyam Atterbury, who lives in Cheadle, will be taking on the Mont Blanc challenge next year, all in aid of inspiring his school children, as well as raising cash for two charities.

Fond farewell from former headteacher

A FORMER headteacher has left a Moorlands school after more than two decades as he moves on to pastures new. Mike Prescott has called time on his teaching career after 23 years at Cheadle Primary School. Former forklift driver is now teaching in Asia

A CHEADLE man is currently travelling around Asia teaching English to youngsters. Ricky Adrian, aged 28, has been travelling around Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and China for almost four years.
