Promoting friendship through flowers
If you have a love of flowers, like growing them or arranging them, then Leek Floral Art Society could be a good club to join and enhance your abilities. As well as having a monthly meeting with different demonstrators, hands-on workshops and talks, members also have the opportunity to attend a practise class prior to the meeting, led by Lorraine Simcox. This class is free to members and covers all the different aspects of floral art.

Celebrating 90 years of WI group
A village women-only group has been celebrating nine decades of having get-togethers as well as fundraising for and supporting their community. The Rudyard & District WI has recently turned 90 years old and members have enjoyed a special celebration event to mark the monumental milestone year.

New show for the Moorlands
A new horticultural show is set to take place in the Moorlands this year. The Moorlands Top Ten is the brainchild of community stalwart Suzanne Sheldon along with like-minded horticulturalfriends. The show is set to take place on Saturday, August 6 at Meerbrook Village Hall, near Leek.
