A churchyard in the Moorlands has been raided by thieves for its pathway stones. A large number of the stone flags on the footpath which is situated in the churchyard at All Saints in Grindon, were ripped up and stolen overnight on Wednesday, February 16 and Thursday, February 17.

BURGLARS have stolen a car worth £4,000 and caused around £1,000 worth of damage to a motor showroom in the Moorlands. It is understood that a car showroom within Brookhouse Service Station, which is located on The Green in Cheadle, was broken into in the early hours of yesterday - Tuesday, July 23. Steadman's Garage business owner Martin Steadman said that, going from CCTV footage from the area, the incident happened at around 12.30am

CHILDREN'S piggy banks are among the items which have been stolen by thieves who targeted a village pre-school. First Steps Pre-School in Rocester was burgled in the early hours of Friday, March 29. Staff at the pre-school were heart-broken to discover later that morning that offender(s) had not only damaged external and internal doors to smash their way into the High Street property, but they also stole petty cash which was to be used for the children's food and they also took seven piggy banks which belonged to the children themselves.
