A COMMUNITY organisation came to the rescue recently after a riding school for the disabled became afloat after torrential downpours of rain. On Friday, October 25, and Saturday October 26, our area had its worst flooding for many years and Scropton Riding School for the Disabled was one of the organisations affected. All their paddocks were under water and road access was cut off. Fortunately the stables were on higher ground so the 28 horses and ponies were safe, but the school lost valuable revenue over the weekend.
