A trio of volunteers are delivering Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to health and care workers in Cheadle and Uttoxeter. So far, 1,500 visors have been distributed to nursing and care homes in both towns, as well as home care workers.

‘OVERWHELMING’ support has been shown to a care home in Rocester during the coronavirus outbreak, bosses have said. Managers at Barrowhill Hall, a specialist dementia care and nursing home, thanked supporters after receiving donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks and visors, together with hand-made laundry bags, hand creams and sanitisers, and treats for residents and staff.

A college in the Moorlands has stepped up to make much-needed PPE equipment for carers. Painsley Catholic College in Cheadle has made and delivered more than 100 protective face visors for carers in the local area.
