POLICE have arrested a Uttoxeter man as part of a proactive policing operation to crackdown on drug crime. The arrest was part of the force's county-wide Operation Disrupt, an initiative which is currently seeing many arrests being made in connection with “serious and violent crimes and drugs.” A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “At around 10.40am on Tuesday, September 24 officers from our Disruptions Team stopped a grey Audi in Uttoxeter High Street.

A CHEADLE woman has been given a 12 months conditional discharge after being caught with a Class A drug. Louise Stone, aged 42, of Cheltenham Avenue in Cheadle was arrested by Staffordshire Police on July 12, following the issue of a warrant for an address in Cheadle’s High Street. She was arrested under the suspicion of failing to appear and possession of a Class A, and was subsequently charged with possession of a Class A drug.
