Defib tribute to local music legend
A life-saving piece of equipment is to be installed at an iconic building and music venue in the Moorlands as a memorial to Leek born musician Chris Ellis who passed away earlier this year in Australia. Chris’s two sons, James, who also lives in Australia and Leek-based Richard decided that a great way to commemorate their father would be to install an automated external defibrillator (AED) at a local music venue.

Festive single for Moorlands musician
A much-loved musician who lives in the Moorlands has released a Christmas single in the hope of putting a smile on people’s faces after a difficult year. Seamus Fitzsimmons has made songs that have reached number one in the Irish charts during his career and has now decided to add a festive tune to his collection.

Cheadle music maestro set for North America tour
A successful music artist from the Moorlands is planning to tour North America and Ireland when travelling is permitted once again. London-born Seamus Fitzsimmons, who lives in Cheadle, has had three number one hits in the Irish Country charts over the past 20 years, including his most recent single ‘I Wanna Be.’
