“We openly hope the council re-engage with us”
Two companies which own a shopping precinct in an East Staffordshire town have responded to news that a council is set to make a compulsory purchase order on the site. Last week, we reported that East Staffordshire Borough Council (ESBC) had announced that they are to make a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) for The Maltings in Uttoxeter.

A council is set to make a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) for The Maltings in Uttoxeter. The announcement has been made by acting leader of East Staffordshire Borough Council, councillor George Allen, ahead of a report set to go before the council at it’s Full Council meeting later this month.

Clearing the way for new developments
CLEARANCE work has been taking place on several sites earmarked for development in Uttoxeter town centre. Plans are in the pipeline for new homes and two new supermarkets on the edge of the town centre. And work to prepare the land for eventual building has been underway during the recent dry weather.
