A controversial planning application to bring a drive-thru restaurant to a Moorlands town is set to have changes made to it before community leaders make a decision on the proposals. We reported in March that a planning application had been submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) for the “construction of a drive through restaurant” at the currently empty site of 113, Mill Street in Leek.

Neighbours, businesses and Leek Town Football Club are among Moorlanders objecting to proposals for a drive-thru restaurant in Mill Street. Submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) by Hama Group, the operator of the restaurant has not been disclosed within the planning application.

A planning application has been submitted for a drive-thru restaurant to be built in a Moorlands town. The plans, which are for a site in Mill Street, Leek, do not divulge which fast-food or drink venue it is set to be.
