The family of a 35-year-old man who died following a collision in the Moorlands have paid tribute to their ‘cherished son, brother, brother-in-law and doting uncle.’ Daniel Fallows was travelling in a Land Rover on Leek Road in Kingsley Moor at 12.45am on Sunday (September 19) when there was a single-vehicle collision.

A BROTHER and sister duo have taken on an exciting new venture in their careers while both still in their 20s by becoming joint directors of a business that hires out all kinds of animals from alpacas to camels. Oakley Whilock, aged 23, and Chloe Whilock-Harvey, aged 28, of Oakleys Farm in Kingsley Moor both took on ‘The Animal Company’ in January which lends external businesses animals to use in advertisement and production as well as providing ways for children to be educated about domestic and exotic mammals. The farm caters for 17 reindeers (of which five are in-calf), donkeys, alpacas, ducks, guinea pigs, meerkats, camels, chickens and rabbits.

PLANS are in the pipeline to combat on-going road fears at two notorious stretches of road near Cheadle. Motorists are being warned to drive appropriately to conditions near Freehay crossroads and along the A522 at Kingsley Moor. Villagers in Freehay and Kingsley Moor have called for action to be taken urgently after near-misses and incidents at both locations.

A CRASH in which a car flipped onto its roof has sparked angry protests from villagers living along a notorious stretch of road. Residents in Kingsley Moor have hit out at highways officials at Staffordshire County Council in the wake of the crash on Monday. A traffic management scheme introducing 40mph and 50mph zones was introduced along the A522 at Easter.
