A TEENAGE vocal sensation from the Moorlands is evolving the way she uses her musical talents amid the nationwide coronavirus lockdown. Joslyn Plant, from Cheadle, shot into the headlines last summer after reaching the semi-finals of TV show The Voice Kids UK and has gone from strength to strength in her music career since. Not only does she present a digital radio show on 'Teenbuzz Radio' where she sings and chats for two hours once a month, she is also continuing to work on recording content with Steelworks Studios in Sheffield from home.

A STUDENT who attends a Moorlands school has got through to the semi-finals of a national television singing competition. Joslyn Plant, from Cheadle, appeared on The Voice Kids UK on Saturday evening, performing a rendition of 'High Hopes' by Panic! At The Disco alongside two rival contestants during the 'judges battles' round. Judge and mentor Danny Jones of pop-band McFly chose Joslyn over the other singers to progress through to the next round – which will be aired on ITV on Saturday, July 20.

A SCHOOLGIRL from the Moorlands has made it through to the next round of a national television singing competition for children. Joslyn Plant from Cheadle appeared on The Voice Kids UK 2019 on Saturday June 29, screened on ITV. The 11-year-old performed “Run” by Snow Patrol with judges Danny Jones of McFly and solo artist Pixie Lott both turning their chairs after being impressed by what they heard.
