Fox’s distribution centre up for sale
A MAJOR Uttoxeter employer's distribution centre in the East Staffordshire town is up for sale. Lambert Smith and Hampton commercial estate agents are currently marketing the Fox's Biscuits distribution centre building and accompanying land at Dovefields Industrial Estate. Within the marketing particulars available online, a representative of Lambert Smith and Hampton said: “The property comprises a detached industrial warehouse unit of steel portal frame construction with sprinklers, warehouse lighting, two-storey offices, loading yard with canopy, car park, and potential expansion land (subject to planning permission).

Hundreds of jobs at risk
WORKERS at a Uttoxeter biscuit factory are facing an uncertain future after owners announced around 250 jobs were at risk. Of 780 people employed at Fox's Biscuits in Cheadle Road, around 250 are likely to be made redundant. A further 50 jobs in distribution centres in both Uttoxeter and Wakefield are also likely to be axed.
