A PARISH council has painted a mural on a bus shelter in memory of a “very popular” village resident – something that has “cheered the village up,” according to a close friend. Denstone Parish Council commissioned the design of a barn-themed mural on a bus shelter initially as part of their annual Best Kept Village Competition bid before later forming it into a commemoration to Rose Edge, a much-loved pillar of the community. As part of the village’s 2019 submission for the competition, it was mooted in a parish council meeting that the structure should be painted.
