A Moorlands manufacturing company has donated money to install an automated external defibrillator (AED) at a hairdressers. The life-saving piece of equipment has been installed at The Salon on Westwood Road in Leek not far from Westwood Road Recreation Ground.

A TOWN councillor has provided a defibrillator for workers at his manufacturing business – and neighbouring companies – after being alerted to the need for the potentially life-saving kit through his voluntary role.

A PLEA has gone out to the owners of premises with defibrillators to get the potentially life-saving pieces of kit registered on a new national database. At least 10 defibrillators in Uttoxeter were found to be completely unregistered, meaning only a handful of people knew they were available and their location.

A GROUP of villagers have raised more than £2,000 in just 10 days to fund a defibrillator. Residents at The Terrace in Mayfield organised online raffles and sponsored events for the potentially life-saving machine.

NEW life-saving equipment has been installed in Grindley. Villagers and businesses worked together to fund the 24-hour defibrillator, which was provided by charity AEDdonate last month. Volunteers reached their £1,999 target, despite their main fund-raiser being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

A NEW life-saving piece of equipment has been installed at a tourist spot in the Moorlands. The community public access defibrillator has been put in place at Hales Hall Caravan and Camping Park in Cheadle. The defibrillator has been put in place after collaborative working between staff at Hales Hall along with the charity AED Donate.
