WEST Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has confirmed that a community response post in a Moorlands town is to close next year, citing financial viability as the reason. The trust stated that Cheadle's community response post, which is situated in Ashbourne Road, will shut by the end of March 2020 but it will turn the rapid response vehicle that is stationed in the town currently into a “double crewed ambulance.” Further to this, it said there are no plans to change the ambulance provision in Cheadle and the surrounding area.
