Community leaders who fronted the Cheadle Toy Bank appeal for Christmas 2021 have sent a big thank you to everyone who donated items and helped wrap presents this year. Cheadle Town councillors Jamie Evans and Elizabeth Whitehouse, who organise the initiative, have praised the way residents from all around the area responded to the appeal, which led to hundreds of items being delivered to low-income and disadvantaged families this festive season.

The organisers of a new toy donation initiative say they have been “overwhelmed” by the initial response from the community. Last month, we reported that the Cheadle Toy Bank Appeal had been set up by Cheadle councillors Jamie Evans and Liz Whitehouse, with the aim of making sure that vulnerable children in the area have a good Christmas this year.
