“This will not deter our positivity” – states council

A council has stated that they remain positive about a new community reassurance programme at a town’s rec – despite there being a series of vandalism incidents recently. According to Cheadle Town Council, which looks after the Tean Road Recreation Ground site, the incidents happened on Wednesday (July 28) and also on Friday (July 30); and they involved a group of teenagers “kicking in” the door of the grounds’ bowling pavilion.

Concerns over ‘vibrating’ houses due to development works

Concerns have been raised of houses in Cheadle which have been ‘vibrating’ due to works being carried out at a nearby housing development. Housing developer Bellway is currently constructing houses at the former JCB site in Cheadle, called Cecilly Mills.
