CCTV cameras to be looked at for park

A town council is set to look into the possibility of installing CCTV cameras and also recycling bins at a public park – in a bid to deter the area being littered with broken glass. The motion follows a number of residents contacting Leek Town Council about glass bottles – some broken - which are being left by the shelter on Ball Haye Green Recreational Grounds in Leek.

Additional CCTV camera for town hall

EXTRA vigilance measures are set to be installed on a town hall to provide additional security of the premises. Uttoxeter Town Council are looking into installing another CCTV camera to the Uttoxeter Town Hall building and updating the system to both increase the security of the High Street building and to monitor anti-social behaviour. At a recent town council meeting, councillors were informed that it had received a quotation for updating the council's existing CCTV cameras and system to an “8-Channel POE NVR hard drive and the incorporation of one additional camera” from PC Paynes Electrical Services of £1,285.
