Green-fingered volunteers set their sights on Gold Medal
UTTOXETER is one of just five communities from the Midlands chosen to go forward to this year’s Britain in Bloom competition. The nationwide community gardening contest will see 70 cities, towns and villages across the UK compete across 11 categories. Uttoxeter will represent the Heart of England region in the town category, seeing off entries from towns across Staffordshire, Shropshire, the West Midlands, Hereford, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire.

Blooming award for Uttoxeter
THE TOWN of Uttoxeter has won a top national accolade. The East Staffordshire town has been awarded Gold in the Town Category of the 2018 Heart of England in Bloom Campaign. Heart of England in Bloom judges, Roger Tait and Donna Loasby, who both visited Uttoxeter in July, said of the town: “It was great to return to Uttoxeter again to meet old friends and new in another action packed tour of the town.
