Tribute to a much-loved community stalwart
Tribute has been paid to a Moorlands community stalwart who has sadly passed away. Brian Stoddard died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday (November 28) aged 90 years.

Community venue roof project makes progress
A project to repair the roof of a much-valued community venue is making good progress. The Guild Hall in Tape Street, Cheadle is currently having works carried out to revamp the building's roof.

Last dance for popular sessions
It is set to be the end of an era for popular dance sessions in the Moorlands – unless someone comes forward to take the helm of organising them. The popular fortnightly tea dances at Cheadle Cricket Club were devised and started by Brian Stoddard in May 2014.
