Concerns have been raised over contractor vehicles using narrow back streets to transport large loads to a housing development. A resident, who lives in Cecilly Street in Cheadle and who wished not to be named, has contacted the Times & Echo with these pictures and their concerns over the large vehicle using the back streets of the area to, apparently, get to the new Bellway Homes development at Cecilly Brook, on the old JCB factory site in Oakamoor Road.

A planning application has been submitted for a 181 housing development in Meir. The plans, which have been submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council are for land west of Caverswall Lane in Meir.

Concern has been raised over hedges next to a public pathway which are being taken down by builders. Bellway Homes Limited is currently building houses at the Cecily Mills site in Cheadle, and as part of the planning permission, contractors are removing some hedgerow to allow for a site entrance to be installed.
