Pot-full of accolades for senior veg grower
A vegetable grower from the Moorlands was bestowed a bucket-load of awards for his products at a recent large-scale gardening show. Barry Clarke of Tean was awarded the Most Meritorious Vegetable Exhibit accolade at the two-day 2021 Stafford Borough Horticultural Show at Stafford Showground for his impressive spread of veggies.

Pub of the season for community pub
A VILLAGE pub, which is owned by the community, has won an award. The White Hart in Alton has been presented with the Spring Pub of the Season award by the Uttoxeter and District sub branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale). Each quarter Uttoxeter and District CAMRA recognise a pub in the area which has been “consistently meeting high standards and receiving good beer scores.”
