KIND-HEARTED sixth form students have set themselves a daunting target for a major fund-raising mission in aid of charity.
Year 12 pupils at Cheadle Academy are aiming to raise £12,000 for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
And the 50-strong group has pledged to deliver a cheque for the money at this time next year.
The students have been issued with 100 ‘Dougie Bank’ collection tins to gather individual monetary donations alongside family and friends.
But they’ll also be hosting fund-raising activities throughout the year with choir performances at a variety of events, non-uniform days and cake sales in the pipeline.
The pupils have taken part in a tour of the Blurton hospice in a bid to better understand the services their efforts will help to fund.
