A UTTOXETER woman is gearing up for a big charity effort to mark a milestone in her recovery from a life-changing stroke.
Mother-of-two Michelle Richardson had to learn to walk again after suffering a rare haemorrhage, caused by an aneurysm, almost three years ago.
But the 44-year-old is marking the latest chapter on her road to recovery by taking part in a fund-raising 5k run in aid of the Stroke Association.
She will take part in the Resolution Run in Liverpool on February 25 alongside husband Martyn and is keen to raise as much money as she can.
There was no indication of what lay ahead until Michelle felt unwell one morning at her work at JCB Finance in Rocester.
Her vision started to blur and a thunderclap headache brought her to her knees, leaving her crying out in pain for her colleagues to help.
