Police cordoned off a residential street in the Moorlands at the weekend to search a property regarding a firearms arrest. Staffordshire Police made the arrest of a 29-year-old man in Churchill Road in Cheadle on Sunday (May 30).
Police cordoned off a residential street in the Moorlands at the weekend to search a property regarding a firearms arrest.
Staffordshire Police made the arrest of a 29-year-old man in Churchill Road in Cheadle on Sunday (May 30).
The man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences relating to an incident in Forrest Road in Meir.
Churchill Road was cordoned off for a time on Sunday by Staffordshire Police as officers searched a property in the street.
A police spokesman said: “Officers were involved in searches at a property in Churchill Road following the arrest of a 29-year-old man on suspicion of firearms offences.
“He has been bailed while enquiries continue.”
They added: “The alleged offence took place in Forrest Road, Meir. The arrest was in Churchill Road.”
