Special Remembrance for staff and residents at Kirk House

By timesecholife on in All News, Uttoxeter news

RESIDENTS at a Uttoxeter nursing home have remembered the fallen in their own special way as the UK entered a second Covid-19 lockdown last week.

Staff and residents at Kirk House Nursing Home have worked together to create a special poppy display to mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.

Home manager Stacey Smith said: “As most Armistice Day and Remembrance services have been cancelled, The Kirk House family have created a poppy display.

“This has been very important for our residents as they feel that even during these unprecedented times this is something we couldn’t let pass us by without doing something special to show our support for our past and present armed forces especially as some of our residents are ex-service personnel.

“The residents and staff at Kirk House have all had a part to play in creating a display that they are very proud of.”
