The 2nd Cheadle Scout Group have been out and about on a long hike – all the while litter picking along the way.
Ruth Tweed, Beaver Scout Leader, said: “We have completed a nine mile hike recently during which our Cubs did some litter picking along the old railway line between Oakamoor and Denstone.
“The hike was organised and run by the Cubs Section Assistant, Charlotte Clarkson, with a few parent helpers and myself assisting.
“It started from Oakamoor Cricket Ground walking to Denstone and back again, covering lots of badgework and of course with community spirit in action with the litter picking to tick off some of their Community Impact badge.
“This was the first organised day hike of this distance we completed with the Cubs and hope to do another during the summer months.”
