CHEADLE SCOOTER CLUB CELEBRATE SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY

SCOOTER riders joined forces to celebrate a special anniversary last week.
Members of Cheadle Scooter Club revved up their beloved Vespas and Lambrettas alongside fellow enthusiasts from the Staffordshire Moorlands in what has become an annual gathering.
The riders rode through the Moorlands countryside before meeting up for drink and a chat at the Wheatsheaf pub in Cheadle.
Members of the Cheadle club, originally formed in 1981, attend many events both locally and nationally, including a recent rally in Llandudno.
After lean times in the past, it has enjoyed a revival of fortunes in recent times with new recruits and the return of past members helping to swell the ranks.
The club meets on a weekly basis and is always open to new riders who wish to join.
Member Kevin Wood said: “Our annual gathering was great with a huge variety of machines, some of which were more than 50 years old.
“The club is a great chance for members to ride around our wonderful countryside and help to support local pubs.
“Anyone who wishes to join us would be made more than welcome.”
