Painsley Catholic College becomes the first school in Staffordshire to achieve the prestigious award.
A CHEADLE school has become the first in Staffordshire to achieve official World Class status.
Painsley Catholic College was last week named as one of only 16 schools in the UK to be awarded the accolade – a new standard in education for schools who have already been rated outstanding by Ofsted inspectors.
Heavy snow meant staff and students from the school couldn’t attend the award ceremony at Cambridge University, so a formal presentation will take place in the new year.
