Cheadle residents warned of ‘no-win situation’ over access plan

CIVIC leaders want to block plans for a new access route to a controversial housing development in Cheadle.

Wrekin Housing Trust won the green light to develop 42 houses on land off Meadow Drive in 2016 and work started in September last year.

Permission was granted by a planning inspector after the application had been turned down by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

The developers have now applied to amend access to the site from nearby Bank Street to Meadow Drive.
