SHOPPERS in Uttoxeter are being handed a key role in plans to revive the town's ailing market.
The number of stallholders at the once-popular Wednesday market has dropped significantly in recent years, while operations on Fridays and Saturdays have followed a similar pattern.
Community leaders plan to launch a campaign designed to attract more traders.
And they’re calling on townsfolk to come up with ideas as part of their review.
Town mayor Alison Trenery said: “The number of stalls at the town centre markets has dropped off considerably and we want to do all we can to expand it again.
