PROTESTERS RAMP UP FIGHT AGAINST ‘CONCRETE JUNGLE’

Drop-in sessions offer chance to join homes campaign

CAMPAIGNERS fighting a ‘concrete jungle’ development on the outskirts of Uttoxeter have renewed calls for support.
Planners at East Staffordshire Borough Council approved an application for 429 homes on land at Hazelwalls Farm, Timber Lane, in July despite widespread protests from residents in the area.
Now, members of the Hazelwalls Impact Working Group are holding information sessions tomorrow in a bid to encourage objectors to continue the battle.
Organiser David Lynch, from Uttoxeter, said: “The town has already been surrounded by big new developments and we question whether the Hazelwall’s development is needed.
