Dedicated fundraiser helps Prostate Cancer UK

THE dedication of a local charity champion has been praised this week.
Eddie Bailey of Cheadle has been raising funds for various charities for many years but as of October 2016 he decided to dedicate his charitable efforts to helping Prostate Cancer UK.
Speaking to the Times and Echo this week Tom Wilson, who has offered support to Eddie in his recent fundraising ventures, commented: “Eddie has organised many activities from supermarket collections to outside events, selling pin badges and wristbands to raise awareness and funds for this charity.
“His latest event was at the Churchill Road Festival in Cheadle where he organised a charity darts event having managed to invite several British Darts Organisation and British Disability Darts Association players with the help of myself.
“The event was very well organised by Eddie.”
Eddie wished to thank Tom Wilson, Donna Cooling, Jason Smith and Will Porter Bean for their hard work on the day of the darts competition.  A grand total of £1125 was raised altogether.
Tom continued: “I would like to point out that Eddie has now helped to raise over £5000 for Prostate Cancer UK.”
Eddie’s next planned event will take place on Saturday 29th July at the Guildhall in Tape Street, Cheadle.  It will take the form of a charity music night with three live acts.  Tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 concessions including buffet and are on sale from Eddie by telephoning 07753 392611.
