INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
AN INVESTIGATION is underway following the discovery of a man’s body in a field near Cheadle.
The body of Michael Pearson, from Charles Street, Cheadle, was found off Huntley Lane.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “We were called to Huntley Lane, Cheadle, at 6.30pm on August 4th by our colleagues at the ambulance service following the discovery of a man’s body in a field.
“He has been formally identified as Michael Pearson, aged 43, of Charles Street, Cheadle.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been prepared for HM Coroner.”
The investigation is still in the early stages and it has not yet been decided if or when an inquest will be held into the death of Mr Pearson.
