Staffordshire Police are currently investigating the cause of a fire that broke out on Tape Street in Cheadle at the weekend. Staffordshire Fire & Rescue crews were called out to extinguish the blaze, which occurred near Iceland food store just after 9pm on Sunday (December 6).

Staffordshire Fire & Rescue crews were called out to extinguish the blaze, which occurred near Iceland food store just after 9pm on Sunday (December 6).
A number of delivery cages were found “well alight” with the fire spreading to an out-building and a nearby van.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service told the Times & Echo on Monday: “Firefighters responded to reports of a fire on Tape Street, Cheadle, yesterday (Sunday, 6 December).
“Crews from Ipstones and Cheadle attended the scene at 9.03pm and located a fire.
“A large amount of delivery cages were well alight and had spread to a nearby van and out-building.
“Two hose reel jets were used to successfully extinguish the fire at 9.50pm.”
Staffordshire Police is now asking those who may have any information or CCTV footage regarding the incident to contact the force.
A spokesperson for the force told the Times & Echo: “Officers are appealing for information following a fire on Tape Street, Cheadle, yesterday (Sunday 6 December).
“Police were called to the scene at 9.05pm, whereby Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service were in attendance.
“The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
“Anyone with any information or relevant CCTV footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident number 671 of December 5, or call 101.
“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
