UTTOXETER could become the first town in Staffordshire to be declared 'plastic free'.
Civic leaders in the town are backing a campaign to drive down the use of disposable plastics.
They’re supporting the launch of a steering group to oversee the initiative locally and are calling on residents to get involved.
The idea is the brainchild of town councillor Zdislaw Krupski, who will be part of the new group.
He said: “It’s still early days and we’ve got to advertise the fact this group is going to be formed and look for interested parties to join.
