A planning application has been submitted for a 137 house residential development in East Staffordshire.
The site address for this application is the Land to the West of Uttoxeter, Bramshall Meadows, A50 Bypass, Uttoxeter.
The proposal for this address is a residential development comprising 137 dwellings together with access, parking, public open space, landscaping, and associated works (Re-Plan of Phase 2D to provide an additional 56 dwellings).
The applicant St Modwen has delivered other development across Staffordshire including earlier phases of the West of Uttoxeter SUE scheme.
According to the planning application, the current use of the vacant site is grassland and its last use was as agricultural land.
The site area is 5.85 hectares and the proposed development will require materials to be used externally for uses in walls, roofing and boundary treatments.
The application also proposes for there to be on-site parking with 320 parking spaces.
The proposal is within 20 metres of a watercourse but, according to the planning documents, the development “will notincrease the flood risk within the site or elsewhere; any surface water would be disposed of by the sustainable drainage system and the existing water course.”
Foul sewage is due to be disposed of via the mains sewer and the proposal will have connections to the existing drainage system.
Areas will be incorporated to store and aid the collection of waste and arrangements have been made for the separate storage and collection of recyclable waste.
The proposal includes the gain, loss or change of use of residential units, mainly relevant to Market Housing and Social, Affordable or Intermediate Rent.
The proposal does not involve the use or storage of Hazardous Substances and the site can be seen from a public road, public footpath, bridleway or other public land.
