Leek man Paul Chauveau joined the Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid team recently to help drive much-needed supplies and vehicles over to the Polish/Ukrainian border.
Paul told the Leek & Moorlands Echo: “It was a humbling experience on returning over the border to be asked if we were from the UK and then thanked for our support and all the support from the UK.
“I’m not normally sensitive but it really brought a tear to my eyes.”
