A nursery in the Moorlands is celebrating after receiving an ‘outstanding’ report from Government inspectors. Teddy’s Garden Nursery is situated at Garden Villa, off East Drive in Cheddleton.

A nursery in the Moorlands is celebrating after receiving an ‘outstanding’ report from Government inspectors.

Teddy’s Garden Nursery is situated at Garden Villa, off East Drive in Cheddleton.

The nursery, which was established in 2004, and the team aims to “provide Cheddleton and the surrounding areas with high quality childcare.”

Since 2007, the nursery has been continuously rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, including in their latest report from an inspection which was carried out earlier this year.

Situated in the picturesque countryside of St Edward’s Park within a large Victorian ‘Villa’ the spacious accommodation has been restored and adapted to meet the growing needs of children from birth to five years.

They have around an acre of grounds, much of it which is used for outdoor play and exploration space for the children in the nursery’s care.

A spokesman said of the latest Ofsted report for Teddy’s Garden Nursery: “In February Teddy’s Garden Nursery was inspected by Ofsted and found to be ‘Outstanding’ again.

“The last 12 months has seen many positive changes for the staff and most importantly for our children, our setting has evolved and grown in strength, experience and enthusiasm and we couldn’t be more proud of our teams hard work and efforts.

“Well done to every single member of our team. The passion and commitment you have to the children and the setting was seen in it’s full glory on inspection day, and shines through the report.”

The spokesman further told the Times & Echo: “We are very proud of our achievement.

“The team particularly over the last 12 months have really worked hard reflecting on practice and continuing to improve on our existing foundations.”
