CHARITY CONCERT FOR 'CRY' PLANNED IN MEMORY OF JOE

A COMMUNITY choir is to join forces with OutLaws in a bid to raise funds in memory of a Cheadle teenager.
Tean Community Singers will be joined by skiffle band The OutLAWS to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) in memory of Joseph Leyland.
The concert will see talented singers and musicians from Tean unite at The Venue on Friday 16th June.
Joseph, who died suddenly last year of mitochondrial myopath, was a healthy bright teenager and his sudden death came as a shock to all who knew him.
The Cheadle branch of CRY has been and still is, raising funds to buy a mobile scanner for the Staffordshire Moorlands area to allow adolescents of 14 years and over to be tested and screened for this hard to detect illness.
The Bloom in June concert is being organised by Tean Community Singers supported by Dave Laws and his skiffle group The OutLAWS.
The choir will be performing diverse songs ranging from Robbie Williams, The Beatles, Les Miserables, The Italian Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves and Andrew Lloyd Webber as well as the Soldiers chorus of Faust.
In complete comparison it will be a night of nostalgia when the wash-board comes out and the OutLAWS start up their skiffle with a chance for the audience to have a good sing-along.
Starting at 7 pm, admission to the concert is £3 and £2 for concessions.
Tickets can be booked by telephoning Dave Laws on 01538 723373.
