Rachel’s Oscar-winner set to deliver charity boost
AN OSCAR-winning film produced by a Caverswall actress is to help raise funds for a deafness charity later this month.
The Silent Child, which was filmed on location in Caverswall and parts of Stoke-on-Trent, will be shown at the Odeon in Festival Park, on Monday, April 16.
The charity screening will be followed by a question and answer session with writer, producer and actress Rachel Shenton along with her fiancé and the film’s director, Chris Overton.
Rachel said: “I’m super excited that the Odeon on Festival Park have agreed to do a special Oscars screening of the film, showing footage from the Oscars, followed by a Q&A with myself and Chris.
