CRUEL owners bound a puppy with twine and dumped him inside a bin bag on the A50.
Luckily for the terrified terrier, a Uttoxeter hair stylist found him after stopping in a lay-by to take a phone call.
Now the pair are already inseparable and rescuer, Chris Withington, 31, is hoping no one will come forward to claim the puppy, whom he has already welcomed into his home and heart.
Owner of Spires in Market Place, Uttoxeter, Chris made the grim discovery on Thursday after a trip to see his accountant.
He said: “I was on the A50 driving back towards Uttoxeter when my phone rang.
“I pulled into a lay-by to take the call and noticed that a load of rubbish bags had been dumped there.
“Then I saw that one of the bags was moving.
“I didn’t know what it was so I checked it out. I got out of the car and I realised something was in there.
